ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Amanda Burton! I’ve spent 8 years shooting and creating my own brand with a personalized style I am proud of. I always found a fascination with the beauty in the human body. It intrigued me how our society views showing off something that I found so beautiful in such a disapproving light. It lead me to question the idea of “what is beauty?”, “how do we define is as a society?”, and “how I do define it as an artist?” These questions inspired my work, and I wanted to show the beauty in something that is traditionally viewed as such a taboo. I realized that beauty isn’t always defined by things like make-up, or clothing, but how everyone’s body by itself is a work of art.
Photography has taken me places such as Los Angeles, New York City, Palm Springs, Alaska, Cancun, Greece, Hungary, Anguilla, and countless others. My travels introduced me to new people with different backgrounds, ideas, and aesthetics that expanded my network and helped me develop my artistic style.
